What is enzyme amplification?

Enzyme amplification

Enzyme amplification described the phenomenon of when one hormone molecule activates thousands of additional enzyme molecules. This in turn produces a significantly greater response.

Hormone clearance

Hormone clearance occurs when the hormone that has caused a specific reaction needs to be deactivated, or in other words, broken down. This is usually done through the means of enzymes in the target organs. The broken-down hormones are then passed on through the liver, to either be deaminated or broken down further before passing out of the body via the kidneys.
